Privacy
A plain-language description of what the product does with your data today.
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information HESIVO collects, how it is used, who helps process it, and the choices you have. It describes how HESIVO works today. Features that are planned but not yet available are clearly marked as planned.
1. Who operates HESIVO
HESIVO is a KVista project. KVista is the brand under which HESIVO is developed and operated; it is not a registered company. HESIVO is operated personally by Vivian Njun, who is the individual legally responsible for the service and for your personal information.
For any question about this policy or your personal information, contact: support@hesivo.eu
2. What HESIVO is
HESIVO is an AI-assisted service for practising real-life communication in another language. It helps you prepare for situations, practise them, use what you learned, and improve over time.

4. How HESIVO uses your information
HESIVO uses this information to:
- Create and secure your account
- Provide practice, feedback and progress tracking
- Personalise recommendations to your languages, level and goals
- Apply feature usage limits
- Understand, in a limited way, how the service is used so it can be fixed and improved
- Respond to your messages and requests
5. AI processing
HESIVO uses third-party AI services to provide some features. Only the information needed for the feature you use is sent.
Google Gemini
Model currently used: google/gemini-3.7-flash. Used for:
- Coach feedback in Prepare Me and What Should I Say?
- Roleplay replies and reviews
- Written feedback on spoken answers
The information sent may include the text you enter, text or transcripts from spoken practice, the situation and context, your language level and your language information.
OpenAI
- gpt-4o-mini-transcribe (speech transcription): receives your recorded audio when you ask HESIVO to transcribe or analyse speech. HESIVO keeps the resulting transcript and feedback. HESIVO does not store the original audio file.
- gpt-4o-mini-tts (spoken AI replies): receives the text of an AI-generated reply when you ask to hear it, and returns audio for playback. HESIVO does not store that audio as a permanent file.
- GPT-6 Astra (Help Me Understand): receives the text you provide and relevant context. HESIVO stores the text and the explanation it generates.
These providers process information to deliver the relevant AI features. Their processing is subject to their own terms, privacy and data-processing documentation, and technical configuration. HESIVO does not control how long a provider keeps information on its own systems.
6. Voice and audio
- HESIVO does not permanently store your original voice recordings.
- When you request speech analysis, your recording is sent for transcription.
- The resulting transcript and feedback may be saved as part of your learning history.
- AI-generated speech may be delivered to your browser temporarily for playback, but HESIVO does not store it permanently.
7. Usage information
HESIVO does not currently use external analytics services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, PostHog, Mixpanel or Microsoft Clarity.
HESIVO keeps limited first-party usage information, such as which pages and features are used, to run the service and understand how it is used. This is not used for advertising or to track you across other websites.
8. Cookies and browser storage
- One cookie: HESIVO uses one preference cookie to remember whether the side menu is open. It lasts about one year.
- Sign-in: your login session is kept in your browser's storage, not in an authentication cookie.
- Other browser storage may hold your selected interface language, unfinished placement-test progress, whether you have seen the welcome message, and temporary usage or session flags.
You can clear this information at any time in your browser settings. Clearing it will sign you out.
9. Google Fonts
HESIVO currently uses the Sora and Manrope fonts from Google Fonts. They are loaded from Google's servers, not hosted by HESIVO. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google to download them, which means Google can see technical connection information such as your IP address. Hosting these fonts directly on HESIVO is planned.
10. No sale of data and no advertising
HESIVO does not sell personal data, does not use personal data for targeted advertising, and does not use advertising trackers.
11. Service providers
HESIVO relies on these providers to operate:
- Lovable / Lovable Cloud: hosting, database, sign-in and routing of AI requests
- Google: Gemini AI, Google sign-in (if you choose it) and Google Fonts
- OpenAI: speech transcription, spoken replies and Help Me Understand
Some of these providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where this happens, the provider's terms and applicable data-protection safeguards govern that processing.
12. How long information is kept
- Your account and learning data are kept while your account is active.
- HESIVO intends to deactivate or archive accounts after 2 years of inactivity and then delete the associated personal data according to its deletion process. This is currently handled manually and is not yet automatic.
- HESIVO does not currently promise a specific deletion period for infrastructure backups, system logs or records held by third-party providers, because these periods have not been fully confirmed.
13. Deleting your account
There is currently no "Delete account" button. To delete your account, email support@hesivo.eu from the address linked to your account.
HESIVO will process your request and delete the personal records linked to your account in the application. Some copies, such as infrastructure backups, security logs, sign-in provider records or records held by AI providers, may follow separate retention rules or technical deletion schedules, so they may not be removed immediately.
A self-service deletion option is planned for a future update.
14. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct it
- Ask for it to be deleted
- Restrict how it is used
- Object to certain uses, where applicable
- Receive a copy in a portable format, where applicable
To make a request, email support@hesivo.eu. There is no self-service data-export tool yet. One is planned for a future update. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
15. Age
HESIVO is currently intended for adults aged 18 and over. There is no automated age check at the moment. A simple 18+ confirmation is planned for a future update.
16. Security
HESIVO uses measures designed to protect your information, including:
- Each account can access only its own data
- Protected actions require you to be signed in
- AI service keys are kept on the server, never in your browser
- AI use is subject to limits and error protection
No online service can guarantee complete security.
17. About AI feedback
AI-generated responses are for practice and information. They can be wrong or incomplete. HESIVO is not a substitute for qualified professional advice, especially in healthcare, legal, financial or other high-stakes situations.
18. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as HESIVO changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be communicated in the service or by email where appropriate.
